Haley Bugeja’s Inter to face Albania’s Vllaznia in UEFA Women’s Europa Cup

Haley Bugeja and her Inter side were drawn against Vllaznia of Albania in the second round of the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup.

Inter will host the first leg on October 7 or 8 while the return match will be played the following week.

In the previous round, Inter progressed at the expense of Hibernian with a 5-1 aggregate.

The Nerazzurre had already wrapped up qualification in the first leg, having won 4-1 on home soil.

Bugeja found the net for Inter as she has already scored twice in four European matches across both UEFA Women’s Champions League and Europa Cup.

This is the last stage at which new clubs will enter the inaugural edition. 

The 11 Women’s Europa Cup R1 winners, including Inter, are joined by remaining direct entrants Slovácko, the 11 UEFA Women’s Champions League Q2 group runners-up and the nine teams defeated in the Women’s Champions League Q3.
