“We’re proud to announce the signing of Andreas Galea, one of Malta’s most experienced and decorated waterpolo players!,” Sirens ASC said in a statement.
Joining us from Sliema, Andreas brings with him an incredible track record, having won six Premier League titles and nine Knockout trophies.
He’s also no stranger to the international stage – having represented Team Malta in 4 European Championships 🇲🇹 and gained valuable experience playing abroad.
Andreas adds leadership, strength and a winning mentality to our squad, and we’re thrilled to have him on board for the next chapter.”
The acquisition of Andreas Galea is a clear sign of intent from the St Paul’s Bay outfit to try and put themselves in a position to challenge for the main domestic honours in the coming season.
Sirens have also confirmed that coach Ranko Perovic will continue to lead the team’s project.
“We are proud to confirm that Ranko Perović will continue leading our senior men’s squad, following a contract extension that sees him remain at the helm of our project,” the club said.
“Over the last two years, Coach Perović has played a key role in shaping our team’s identity, instilling discipline, structure, and a winning mindset across the board.
@His leadership has seen the squad grow stronger each season, earning respect and results along the way. With a clear vision for the future, we’re confident this journey is only just beginning.”
Added to that, the club has extended the contracts of academy player Isaiah Riolo and Matthew Sciberras.
