Kavallieri Rugby Club was invited to Sardegna to participate in the Friendship Cup as part of the club’s ongoing commitment to travel, exposure, and player development through competitive international rugby.
In the opening match against Cagliari Rugby Club, Kavallieri showed exactly why these experiences matter.
From the kick-off, Benji Cezek Camilleri secured the ball with composure under pressure, giving the team immediate control.
The ball was moved quickly, space was identified, and within seconds Sebastian Ellul Sullivan took flight and, after weaving through half the opposing team, crossed the line to score a magnificent try.
In a statement, Kavallieri RFS said, “Scoring that quickly from a restart is no accident. It reflects awareness, confidence, and trust in the system – qualities built through training and reinforced by playing strong opposition abroad. Kavallieri won that match 26-0
“This try summed up what Kavallieri’s academy is about: calm execution, backing skill, and playing positive rugby. Experiences like these help players grow, on and off the field, and raise standards across the squad.”
