Brian Cini won the second ranking event of the snooker season after he defeated Chris Peplow 5-1 in the final.
The showdown was a repeat of the 2025 event as both Cini and Peplow had also made it to the final match.
On Friday, Peplow took an early lead when compiling a run of 82 points.
But Cini kept his poise as he not only managed to quickly restore parity in the second frame but went on to secure the next four frames with runs of 76 and 65.
The only time Peplow had the chance to bridge the gap was in the fifth frame when he managed to pot the final two reds as well as the pink and black balls to level the match at 58-all and force a shoot-out on the black. However, it was Cini who, in the end, prevailed.
In the semi-final stage, which was held earlier in the week, both Cini and Peplow had to battle hard to reach the final.
In fact, both players had to win the decisive frame to progress to the final, with Cini overcoming Isaac Borg and Peplow defeating John Farrugia, both with identical 4-3 scorelines.
Meanwhile, in another final held this week, Alex Borg overcame Ivan Attard 5-3 in the second ranking event of the Masters tournament.
