‘The club must always come first’ says Birkirkara FC president Michael Valenzia

Birkirkara president Michael Valenzia made it clear that Birkirkara FC must always come first, ahead of any individual interests.

The Birkirkara supremo was reacting to a report on Times of Malta that said that Dr Chris Cardona has expressed his interest in joining the Birkirkara FC committee.

“Birkirkara FC is one of the greatest and most historic clubs in Maltese football, backed by the most loyal and passionate supporters in the country. At moments like these, the club and its future must always come first,” Valenzia said.

“Over the coming days, my priority is to ensure stability and that all necessary obligations and procedures are concluded responsibly and professionally, always with the best interests of Birkirkara FC at heart.”

“My only interest has always been to do what is best for the club and to respect the voice of its supporters. In the coming days, I will also be making my position regarding my future at the club clear.”
