Ħamrun Spartans have secured the signing of Nigerian defensive midfielder Jack Ipalibo.
The Reds are looking to rejuvenate their squad after a disappointing end to the 2025-26 season.
The Spartans, after securing an historic qualification to the League Phase of the UEFA Conference League, failed to win any of the major domestic honours and are determined to bounce back in the upcoming season.
Coach Giacomo Modica’s mode has been boosted by the arrival of Nigerian powerhouse Ipalibo.
The 28-year-old has an eye-catching CV and last season was on the books of Portuguese second division side Torreense.
Torreense are coming from an historic campaign as the second-division side won the Portuguese Cup after defeating Sporting in the final.
Earlier in his career, he spent several years in Spain, where he was in the youth ranks of Villarreal before heading to Norway, where he donned the colours of Stromsgodset.
From then he joined Greek club Kifisia, Chornomorets, in the Ukraine, before heading to Hungary where he played for Zalaegerszeg.
