Valletta have confirmed the signing of Italian midfielder Davide Paglia.
Earlier this week, the Times of Malta reported that Paglia, 20, was already training with the youth squad of Valletta, leaving a good impression which has convinced the club’s top hierarchy to hand the former Lazio player a spot in the senior squad with the Citizens.
Personal terms have now been agreed and the player has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.
The Italian midfielder came through the ranks of Lazio with whom he played at U-17’s and U-19’s level.
During his time at the Biancoceleste, he was hailed a one of the most promising players and he was also included in the 201718 Europa League squad.
After parting ways with Lazio, he played with the U-19’s teams of Ternana and Cosenza before moving to Pomezia, in the Italian Serie D.
