On Sunday, the Island Car Club organised the second round of England Insurance – Transport Malta National Hillclimb Championship at Mtaħleb limits of Rabat.
Current national champion Keith Camilleri defended his title and won this round.
Camilleri was followed by his brother Kurt whilst 2019 national champion Fabio Baldacchino followed in third place on his new race car.
Didier Bugeja was the fastest driver on a front wheel drive car, Chris Aquilina shone on a four-wheel drive car, while Ryan Mangion was the quickest on a rear-wheel-drive car.
Joe Anastasi topped the over 60 years class and Nigel Caruana was the fastest driver under the age of 25.
Pierre Montebello, representative of Transport Malta, awarded Steve Camilleri the driver of the day award.
The race was controlled by, Josef Abela, Joe Formosa, Nadege Abela, Gilbert Abela, Beppe Aquilina, William England, Susanne Fenech, Charlie Dingli, Consiglio Busutil, marshals and other volunteers.
The England Insurance-Transport Malta National Hillclimb Championship will return in September.
