€4,300 raised in just three hours at Dar Tal-Providenza Charity Car Show

The Old Motors Club Malta successfully organised its annual Dar Tal-Providenza Charity Static Car Show earlier today, raising an impressive €4,300 in just three hours in support of the residence.

Held on the public holiday marking the feast of Saint Joseph, the event took place between 9am and noon in the grounds of Dar Tal-Providenza, attracting a strong turnout of visitors and motoring enthusiasts.

Approximately 140 vintage and classic vehicles, spanning over a century of motoring history, were proudly displayed by club members.

The exhibition created a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere, complemented by autojumble stalls, food, and refreshments.

All proceeds collected during the event were presented in aid of Dar Tal-Providenza, supporting the invaluable work carried out for its residents.

The Director of the residence, Fr Martin Micallef, expressed his sincere appreciation, thanking the organisers, participants, and the general public for their generosity and continued support.

European Member of Parliament Peter Agius attended the event and donated to the same cause. His presence further highlighted the importance of community-driven initiatives that combine cultural heritage with charitable causes.

Speaking after the event, Old Motors Club chairman Dennis Agius and Events Coordinator Aldo Pace expressed their gratitude to all who contributed to the show’s success, noting that the strong turnout and funds raised reflect the generosity of the Maltese public and the enduring appeal of classic motoring.

In a statement, the club reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Dar Tal-Providenza and similar charitable initiatives, while continuing to promote Malta’s rich motoring heritage.

The appointment is already set for the next Dar Tal-Providenza Car Show, on the 19th of March 2027, the fifth edition.
