National School of Sport student and Academy member Karlise Bartolo was named the Silvio Anastasi Most Improved Athlete of the month for October, the Bowling Academy of Malta announced.
The award was designed to honour an up-and-coming player who has made a dramatic improvement and who has demonstrated complete dedication to the sport by significantly raising the level of their game.
The Silvio Anastasi Most Improved Award, named after a former legendary national team Bowler, will be presented monthly to the best-improved athlete of the Bowling Academy of Malta.
Bartolo received a Brunswick high-performance bowling ball from head coach Rick Vogelesang.
