After Kayden Lagana` and Nicholas Muscat won gold and silver respectively in the singles competition, they joined forces in the doubles competition to win a silver medal after finishing second with a total of 2425 points.

Malta was in action in the female categories as well, with Tiziana Caranante finished ninth (1077) while Cynthia Frendo Duca (950) placed 23rd in a 26-player field in the singles.
The Maltese pair will be involved in the doubles competition which will come to an end on Wednesday.
The mixed doubles competition is expected to take place on Thursday.
Team Malta is accompanied by coack Rick Vogelesang and Edward Mifsud as delegate.
Croatia, Cyprus, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey are all participating in this prestigious tournament which was created in 1998.
