The Island Car Club organised the second round of the 2024 National Hillclimb Championship at Girgenti, Siġġiewi’s limits, last Sunday.
Christian Azzopardi came out on top on the day as he finished ahead of Terence Vella and Jean Vella in the overall standings.
Noel Galea was the fastest driver on a rear wheel drive car while Didier Bugeja placed first on a front wheel drive car.
Joseph Calleja was the fastest on a four-wheel drive car and a street legal car.
Isaac Burlo clocked the best time on a classic car while Martina Caruana was the fastest female on the day.
David Grech placed first among the drivers over the age of 60 while Nicholas Micallef is the fastest driver under the age of 25.
Craig Pace placed first among the guest drivers.
The National Hillclimb Championship was held with the support of Enemed, MeDirect Bank Malta, England Insurance, The Point Malta and other sponsors.
The next round of the championship is set to be held on April 28 in Baħrija.
