Local futsal champions Luxol St Andrew’s started the 2024-25 season on a positive note when they secured their first win in the Enemed Futsal League after beating Ta’ Xbiex 10-3.
Gabriel Dobre’s boys had already established a 7-2 lead by the end of the first half and continued to manage the game until the end.
Lucas Da Conceicao, Eric De Oliveira and Jhonn Castro Pulido scored a brace each while Marrwan Telisi, Jefferson Breno, Mark Zammit and young Nathan Cope were also on the scoresheet.
Ta Xbiex’s goals were scored by Sebastian Obando, Giancarlo Sammut and Juan Bautista Conde.
University of Malta found little difficulty to overcome Malta U-19 9-0.
Zvezdan Vukovic, Andre Cachia and Luke Anthony Borg netted two goals apiece while Steven Camilleri, Cleavon Portelli and Dusan Petrovic were also on the scoresheet.
Swieqi United Futsal LEC 07 eased past Birżebbuġa St Peter’s Futsal 7-1.
Swieqi scored all their goals in the first half with Marcelo Alarcon, Dylan Musu and Rodrigo Rocha scoring a brace each with the other goal coming from Dylan Pace.
Birżebbuġa’s only goal was scored by Armando Gjepali.
Marsaskala Futsal Legends proved too strong for Malta U-17 as they cruised to a 14-5 victory.
Josef Balzan, Owen Duca, Hugo Vinicius and Cristian Fernandez scored two goals each with the other goals coming from Jovica Milijic, Dale Valletta, Amir Ashtiyani, Craig Pickard, Ryan Pisani and Bertram Azzopardi.
Kaden Baldacchino, Francesco Vella Critien, Nickolai Cocker, Benjamin Spiteri and Andrew Grima were the scorers for Malta U-17.
