Claudio Grech unanimously reconfirmed as Valletta FC president

Claudio Grech was unanimously reconfirmed as president of Valletta FC during Sunday’s Annual General Meeting.

“Valletta Football Club is glad to announce that all the members present, unanimously and through a secret vote, reconfirmed Claudio Grech as president of the club for the next three seasons,” the club said in a statement.

Grech’s approval as Valletta FC president was made during an election held on Sunday morning.

Grech was the only candidate for the post, but a vote of approval was needed so that he could be confirmed in the club’s top position for the next three years.

Grech was installed as Valletta FC’s new president last year. He replaced Alexander Fenech, who decided to step down from the job.

During the past 12 months, Grech and the other members of the Valletta FC committee worked hard to help the club get back on its feet after they were relegated from the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history.

But the new administration managed to rebuild the squad, and the team secured promotion at their first attempt, much to the delight of their legion of fans.
