Marsaskala Aquatic edged past Exiles Welbee’s with a score of 11–10, with a highly-balanced match from start to finish.
While both sides exchanged goals throughout, Marsaskala Aquatic ultimately managed to hold a slender advantage in the closing stages, resisting late pressure from Exiles to secure a win in one of the closest encounters this season.
At the presentation ceremony, the trophy was awarded to the Marsaskala Aquatic captain by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta, together with Karl Izzo, president of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, marking the conclusion of a highly competitive and successful season.
In a statement, Bank of Valletta continued to reaffirm its commitment to supporting local athletes and competitions.
“Through its partnership with the Aquatic Sports Association, the Bank consistently invests in initiatives that promote participation, excellence, and community engagement in waterpolo,” Bank of Valletta said in a statement.
“This commitment reflects the Bank’s broader mission to foster a healthy, active lifestyle within the Maltese community while contributing to the sustained growth and success of local sports at multiple levels.”
