Between Friday and Sunday evening the 30th and the 31st meeting were held at the Marsa Racetrack. Certainly the most important event was the ALDB Sette Giugno Cup final for class Premier and Gold trotters on a short distance of 2140 metres.
This final was won by favourite The Lion driven by Rodney Gatt.

Italian mare Cash Bank Bigi (Paul Galea) ended in fourth place from the early leader, Bordeaux S driven by Cliferty Calleja. Meanwhile the winner clockced an average time of 1.13.9” per kilometer.
At the end of this final, Aldo Busuttil, on behalf of the sponsors, presented the trophy to Rodney Gatt and the owners of the winning horse. This in the presence of Dr Matthew Brincat CEO Malta Equidrome and Tony Demanuele Vice Chairman of the Malta Racing Club.
