Floriana FC have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Kauan Alexandre Martins de Paula.
The Greens have been working hard in the past few weeks to bolster their squad ahead of the UEFA Champions League commitments next months.
Kauan is a towering defender that will certainly add more quality to the Greens’ backline.
“Floriana FC are delighted to announce the signing of Brazilian defender Kauan Alexandre Martins de Paula,” the club said in a statement.
“The 25-year-old joins the Greens with experience in both Brazilian and international football. Primarily a central defender, Kauan brings quality, physical presence and versatility to Floriana FC’s defensive options.
“Most recently, he featured for Israeli side Hapoel Acre, continuing his development while gaining valuable experience abroad.
“Known for his composure and ability in possession, Kauan now begins a new chapter in Maltese football by joining Floriana FC ahead of the upcoming season.
“We welcome Kauan to the Floriana FC family and wish him every success in green and white.”
Kauan is Floriana’s second signing this month after earlier this week the Greena announced the capture of Croatian forward Robert Muric.
