Valletta FC have announced the signing of Montenegrin midfielder Petar Sekulovic.
The 27-year-old midfielder is set for his first stint outside his country after agreeing terms with last year’s Jubilee Cup and FA Trophy winners.
“Petar joins Valletta at 27 years of age following several seasons competing at the highest level of Montenegrin football, bringing with him valuable domestic and European experience, together with the physical presence, discipline and composure expected of a modern midfielder,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Petar is renowned for his strength, tactical intelligence and versatility, capable of operating across midfield while also providing cover whenever required.
“A former Montenegro youth international, he has demonstrated professionalism, work ethic and competitive mentality that align with the standards and ambitions of Valletta Football Club.”
Sekulovic came through the youth ranks of Podgorica and then played for FK Bratskvo, FK Adria and Mornar Bar.
Last season, he was on the books of FK Decic Tuzi and during his spell there he won the Montenegrin Cup.
