Luxol St Andrews were dominant in their match against Ta’ Xbiex Futsal in a match from the Enemed Futsal League.
Gabriel Dobre’s boys obtained a massive 7-0 scoreline against Ta’ Xbiex who were a shadow of the team who had played so well against Swieqi last week.
With Mark Zammit suspended, the captain’s armband was given to Andy Mangion who honoured it in the best way possible after notching a brace with Celino Alves emulating him as well.
Matthew Attard, Andre Ciancio and Maicon completed the score for the champions.
Steven Camilleri was University of Malta’s talisman player as he netted a poker to propel his team to the final 6-3 victory against Żurrieq.
Meanwhile Gia Nikvhashvili helped himself with a brace to add to his team’s tally.
Żurrieq’s reply came from a David De Ferreira de Almeida double and another one from Kurt Darmanin.
In the Enemed Challenger League, St George’s won the southern derby against Fgura United 8-1.
Prolific striker Karl Luke Schembri notched a hat-trick with Faisal Alnakoou scoring a brace. Vuk Rankovic, Jovica Milijic and Claudio Venuto were also on the score sheet for the Cottonera side.
Jose Angel Godar Pereira scored Fgura’s only goal.
