Pablo Doffo has been named new coach of Swieqi United’s men’s first-team coach, the club announced on Friday.
The Owls were looking to fill their vacant position after Steve D’Amato left the post to rejoin Premier League’s Sirens and they set sights on Doffo.
The Argentine coach is at the back of a positive campaign with Marsaxlokk in the top-flight where he managed to steer the newly-promoted club to salvation while reaching the FA Trophy final.
Swieqi placed first in the BOV Challenge League Play-Out classification with 50 points in 28 games.
