Zak Degiovanni, of Qormi Daikin, was chosen as the Hockey Association of Malta Player of the Year for season 2022/23.
Degiovanni was inspirational for Qormi Daikin to clinch last year’s national league as well as being decisive in some particular games.
He was also in fine form during the Euro Hockey Challenge League in Gibraltar as he netted four goals in five games for Qormi to get a good position in this tournament.
Degiovanni is 29 years old and has been playing hockey for more than 20 years. He always donned the Qormi shirt bar one year when he was on loan with White Hart.
Degiovanni is also a member with the hockey national team as he took part in five international tournaments in Lithuania, Croatia, Gibraltar, Portugal and Poland.
In the last tournament held in Skierniewice, he scored his first goals with the Maltese national team.
