Karl Luke Schembri was the protagonist for ŻRQ Bormla as he netted four goals to help his team clinch a point against champions Luxol following a 4-4 draw.
It was an intense match with Luxol always enjoying the lead but ZRQ Bormla showed great character to pull themselves back into the match even when trailing 3-1.
Andre Ciancio and Mark Zammit scored twice each for Luxol.
Ta’ Xbiex Futsal beat the Malta under 18 selection 6-3 in a very entertaining encounter.
Stefi Cale and Redeemer Borg scored two goals each with Liam Caruana and Kurt Bartolo adding the other goals for their team.
The Maltese youths scored through a Samuel Christop Abela brace and a goal by Zachary Abo Assaf.
The Malta U-19 selection had a very brave performance as they drew 3-3 against Sliema Wanderers.
Collin Sammut, Amin Louati and Denzel Camilleri scored the goals for the Maltese team while Jean Leite Lopes and a double by Juan Poveda responded for Sliema.
University of Malta ACJ Group beat Birżebbuġa St Peter’s 7-1 in a game which they controlled from start to finish.
The University had Melvin Borg scoring a hat-trick while Zvezdan Vukovic and Steven Camilleri completed the scoring for their team.
Julien Bolard netted the only goal for Birżebbuġa.
Swieqi United returned to winning ways after beating Marsaskala Futsal 8-2.
The team led by Dylan Micallef was determined to get the three important points and scored their goals through a double by Justin Theuma and Gregory Busuttil with Brayan Stiven, Matthew Buhagiar, Cristian Sanchez and Ryan Muscat also among the scorers.
Gżira United Santa Margerita registered their first win of the season after seeing off Santa Venera Lightnings 7-3.
Yessous Camilleri and Leon Camilleri scored two goals apiece with Herbert Spiteri, Bernard Sciberras and Jonathan Xerri also on target.
The Lightnings, who are searching for their first points of the season, had Benjamin Azzopardi netting a brace with Vuk Rankovic adding another one.
