In the first semi-final, Zero Sei produced a dominant performance against Swieqi United Futsal LECO7, securing a convincing 9-2 victory.
It was a match in which Zero Sei controlled proceedings from start to finish, comfortably booking their place in the final.
The second semi-final was far more balanced between St George’s and Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus.
St George’s managed to recover from a first-leg deficit to take the tie into extra time.
However, even extra time was not enough to separate the sides, and the match had to be decided by penalties.
Here, Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus emerged victorious 3-1 on penalties and seal a 7-4 aggregate success and securing their place in the final.
The league final will be played on a best-of-three format with the first match scheduled for May 5 at De La Salle College.
Game Two will be played on May 12 and the third game, if needed, on May 23 at the same venue.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Trophy Final will be played between Zero Sei and Swieqi United Futsal LECO7 on Tuesday April 28, with kick off set at 8.30pm at De La Salle College.
