Fifteen-year-old Nicholas Muscat rolled the highest U-16 Youth Male Series during the MAPFRE MSV Life National League.
His 740 score for a three-game series with games 238-267-235 placed him at the top of the U-16 Youth national records, and the third highest youth series for U-19.
With this series, Muscat was also the high bowler of the week in Division 1. His 215-league average also places him as the highest average bowler in Division 1, ahead of the more renowned national bowlers.
Earlier this year at the end of June, Muscat teamed up with his coach Mark Spiteri in the Cisk Lager Doubles league as Generation XYZ, and bowled a 536-game (238 Muscat, 298 Spiteri) total to also enlist themselves in the best 10 MTBA records for the doubles.
Muscat is one of the athletes chosen to be part of the Youth Athlete Support Scheme by the Maltese Olympic Committee.
