The 2025 bowling season reached a thrilling conclusion last night at the Eden Superbowl as Team Brunswick, supported by APS Bank, decisively clinched the Malta Bowling Association (MBA) BOV Premier League title.
Needing just two points from their final match to secure the championship, Team Brunswick left no doubt, delivering a flawless performance against Team Supersonic to take all eight points in an 8-0 shutout victory.
This commanding win was the perfect finish to what has been a fantastic season both nationally and internationally for the team.
A dramatic finish for second place
While Brunswick’s victory was a formality, the real drama unfolded just below them in the standings.
Team Powerfruit, who started the evening in second place, suffered a surprise 6-2 defeat at the hands of Team BOV. Meanwhile, the reigning champions, okmalta.com, put on a strong display to win their match against The Underdogs 8-0.
This shift propelled okmalta.com into the runner-up position with 40 points, relegating Team Powerfruit to third place, tied with BOOM KVH on 36 points.
