A historic moment for Maltese bowling beckons as Nicolai Mallia, accompanied by his coach and mentor Sue Abela, has departed for Helsingborg, Sweden, to compete in the prestigious Storm Lucky Larsen Masters.
Mallia is set to become the first-ever Malta Bowling Association bowler to participate in a major PBA Tour tournament.
This ground-breaking journey will see Mallia competing against some of the world’s most formidable talents, including PBA Tour champions such as Kyle Troup, Dominic Barrett, AJ Johnson, Jesper Svensson, Francois Lavoie, Sean Rash, and Andrew Anderson.
The tournament represents a significant step up for the local sport, showcasing Maltese talent on an international stage against the global elite.
“This is an incredible milestone for Maltese bowling,” said Sue Abela of the Bowling Academy Malta.
“Nicolai’s participation is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and the guidance of his coach, Rick Vogelesang. We are all immensely proud and will keep on following his progress closely.”
