The Bowling Academy of Malta has received the approval from the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF).
The newly-formed academy had sent a proposal for an official ETBF training and bowling education centre in San Giljan. This proposal was sent to the European governing body of bowling which has given its approval.
“This is the best birthday present,” Bowling Academy Malta senior coach and Brunswick equipment advisor Sue Abela, who had her 55th birthday last week, said.
ETBF Education and Presidium Member Marios Nicolaides said: “The Bowling Academy is committed to nurture the bowling talent on the Island of Malta by arranging for the required training facilities at the Eden Superbowl and surrounding facilities.”
The Bowling Academy is based at the Eden Superbowl, where members of the MTBA are provided with first-class coaching.
Now with the ETBF approval, starting coaches can received their education and get certified for the ETBF level 1 coaching programme.
Earlier this week, the Bowling Academy received the support of BBBS, the exclusive distributor of Brunswick Bowling equipment.
