The Malta Motorsport Federation is planning to offer a ground-breaking experience for ten Maltese officials when they will be in charge of the FIA Central European Zone circuit racing event at the Hungaroring.
The race will be part of a new motorsport event series called XLR8, which has its inaugural meeting last weekend at the Salzburgring in Austria.
This opportunity for the Maltese motorsport officials came about following an agreement between the local governing body and Austrian motorsport experts BG Sportpromotion who will be helping the MMF in the organisation of its racing events and media promotion.
Jonathan Bruno, MMF Central European Zone Representative and MMF Off-Road Delegate, said in an interview with Times of Malta that this is the first time that Maltese motorsport officials will be in charge of an international event organised by the FIA.
During the interview, Bruno speaks about the challenges of organising such an important event and the benefits that Maltese officials will gain from such a unique experience.
