Jurgen Degabriele and Dorianne Theuma have been voted as MFA Player of the Year for the 2021/2022 season.
Degabriele, 25, has played a key role in propelling Hibernians to their 13th domestic championship with his 14 goals in 26 games.
The Malta international, who scored five goals for his country, registered five assists in total as well.
This is the first time that Degabriele has been named the best player of the Maltese championship as he becomes the fifth Hibernians’ player to clinch this award in the last ten years.
Clayton Failla (2012), Andrew Cohen (2015), Bjorn Kristensen (2017) and Andrei Agius (2019) were the other winners.
Meanwhile, Dorianne Theuma won the MFA Player of the Year for the past women’s league campaign.
Theuma, 38, has now won this award for a record eighth time since her first in the 2002/2003 season.
The Swieqi United captain scored 10 goals and finished as club’s top scorer as the Owls went on to place second in the league.

National Amateur League Best Player: Nicholas Schembri (Attard).
National Amateur League Top Scorer: Nicholas Schembri (Attard).
Futsal Player of the Year: Mark Zammit (Luxol St Andrews).
National Youth League Best Player: Shaizen Attard (Ħamrun Spartans).
President’s Award: Emanuel Fabri, Twanny Rocco & Dr. Ronald Cuschieri.
