The futsal league continued with another week of action, featuring big wins for Luxol and the University of Malta in the men’s league, as well as further confirmation of the dominance of Zero Sei Futsal in the women’s league.
In the men’s competition, league leaders University of Malta Futsal earned a commanding 12-2 win over Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal, who are still looking for their first points of the season.
Luxol St Andrews Futsal continued to show their strength with an 18-0 victory over Futsal Selection U17, with Luke Gatt and Aiden Buhagiar each scoring four goals.
In the encounter between Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA and Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness, Żejtun secured an 8-4 win to remain among the sides at the top of the table.
Meanwhile, Marsaskala Futsal Legends reinforced their position near the top with a 4-0 victory over Futsal Selection U19, taking control early on after going 3-0 ahead within the opening minutes.
In the Men’s standings after Matchweek 4, University of Malta Futsal lead the table with four games played and 12 points, three ahead of GZR Birżebbuġa St Peter’s Futsal, and Marsaskala Futsal Legends.
Chasing them are Luxol St Andrews Futsal, who have six points after two matches, level with Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA, who have played a game more.
Futsal Fort Fitness sit further down with three points from three matches, while the last three places belong to Futsal Selection U19, Futsal Selection U17, and Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal, who are still in search of their first points.
In the women’s league, Zero Sei Futsal claimed an important victory, defeating St. George’s Futsal 7-0.
Standout performer Vanessa Carneiro scored a first-half hat-trick, helping Zero Sei Futsal hand St George’s their first defeat of the season.
Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus kept pace with the leaders thanks to a 3-1 win over Parr Mela Rockets Futsal, who remain without a victory this season.
At the same time, Swieqi United Futsal LEC07 earned their first points of the campaign with an 81 triumph over St Andrews Futsal, staying close to the top group.
In the Women’s Standings after Matchweek 4, Zero Sei Futsal are leading the way with 12 points from four games played, three ahead of Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus.
St George’s Futsal are third on seven points from 4 games, ahead of Swieqi United Futsal LEC07 (4 points).
Below them are St Andrews Futsal with 3 points, ahead of bottom-placed Parr Mela Rockets Futsal who have no points on the board.
