It was an important week for Maltese futsal, not only with Trophy fixtures taking place, but also with several crucial results that significantly impacted the league standings in both the women’s and men’s competitions.
In the women’s league, Parr Mela Rockets Futsal recorded their first-ever victory, defeating St Andrews Futsal 3-1, despite St Andrews taking an early lead in the match.
Zero Sei Futsal continued their impressive run with a dominant 7-1 win over Swieqi United Futsal LECO7, remaining unbeaten and mathematically securing their place in the playoffs. They now need just four more points to guarantee first place in the standings.
In the final and most competitive match of the week, St George’s Futsal claimed a vital 3-2 victory over Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus, allowing them to retain second place.
After St Andrews went ahead, two goals from Estefany Colmenarez turned the match around in favour of the Bormla side. This win confirmed St George’s qualification for the playoffs, while Luxol are now just one point away from securing theirs.

Five matches were played in the men’s league, with Luxol St Andrews FC Futsal facing a particularly demanding week, playing twice.
They first secured a convincing 13-0 win against Malta FA Futsal Selection U18, followed by a 5-1 victory over GZR Birżebbuġa St Peter’s Futsal.
These two wins lifted Luxol St Andrews to joint top of the table with the University of Malta Students Futsal Team, albeit having played one match less.
Malta FA Futsal Selection U17 celebrated their first victory of the season, overcoming Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal 5–3, while the University of Malta claimed a 3-0 win against Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness.
In a key direct encounter, Marsaskala Futsal Legends defeated Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA 8-4, securing third place in the standings, three points clear of their rivals.
