Champions Swieqi Phoenix Nium and league leaders Falcons maintained their winning run as the SuperLeague resumed this weekend at the Cottonera Sports Complex.
Falcons battled past Flyers 3-1 to chalk up their fifth win from as many matches and remain top of the standings on 15 points.
Swieqi Phoenix Nium kept up the pressure on Falcons when they eased past Birkirkara 3-0. With this win the Swieqi side, led by coach Leonard Zammit Munro, underlined their status as leading challengers for the title.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the third edition of the Marindex Trophies Christmas Cup gets underway at the Corradino Sports Pavilion.
The first match will see Paola Executive Security taking on Division One side Flyers.
Birkirkara and Paola Executive Security won the opening two editions of this tournament.
