Falcons eased past Birkirkara to strengthen their grip on top spot in the women’s Super League last weekend.
Flyers were also victorious when they battled past Mġarr.
Buoyed by last weekend’s 3-2 win over Swieqi Phoenix Nium in the Cup semi-finals, Falcons were determined to maintain their winning run in the women’s Super League.
On Sunday, Falcons put on a strong performance as they eased past Birkirkara 3-0.
As the scoreline shows, Falcons were firmly in control of the match winning the first three sets in comfortable circumstances, posting scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-10.
In the opening match of the day, Flyers overcame the challenge of Mġarr 3-1.
Flyers won the opening set 25-21 and then doubled their advantage when taking the second on 25-10.
Mġarr gave themselves a lifeline when prevailing in a tight third set 25-23.

But Flyers soon regained control to take the fourth set 25-14 and the match 3-1.
In the only match from the First Division, Paola Executive Security breezed past Birkirkara 3-0.
With this win, the Paolites maintained their perfect record in the division.

SUPER LEAGUE: Flyers vs Mġarr 3-1; Falcons vs Birkirkara 3-0.
First Division: Birkirkara vs Paola Executive Security 0-3.
Under 19: Depiro vs Birkirkara 3-0.
